Whats new?….well a lot! The first thing is the Molt Gear Team is excited to have partnered with Final Approach. Final Approach is a division of Bushnell (www.fabrand.com) and has been a industry leader for years in making ground blinds, decoys, blind bags, gun cases, flags and other hunting accessories. We feel this a perfect fit because not only do they make outstanding, lifelike, durable products, but they are committed to always improving and being the best! We will be working on product development with them and also be using their products out in the field. Thank you, Final Approach, for making this happen and giving us the opportunity to do what we love!
Next, Kelley Powers is in the house! Not only has Kelley been a great friend of mine for the last eight years, but he happens to be one of the best callers ever! World Goose Calling Champion, Champion of Champions and Three Time World Open Meat Duck Calling Champion. He is currently in Minnesota working with me on our new calling Instructional DVD due out in a couple weeks. Stay tuned…..
Next, is a new and very, very exciting sister company of Molt Gear…Wild Wear Apparel! This is a clothing line that will start in the waterfowl world (Wing Wear) but has plans to expand into other genres. The new Wing Wear T shirts will be available for purchase soon and we will have them at all the events we travel to this summer and fall. They are a lighter, softer shirt with pretty sweet graphics…..and yes, they do help with the lady’s and make you tougher!
New for this fall is the Molt Gear Instructional Goose Hunts in Rochester Minnesota. The Molt Gear team has committed a couple weekends in November to offer hunts that will include instruction on set ups, decoys, decoy spreads, concealment, flagging, and also include calling lessons in the afternoon. We get asked a lot about these various topics and we figure lets knock out seven birds with one stone! Check out the service page for more info…you are sure to see Big Craig get a least one nut shot!
Check out the “On the Road” page to see where we will be traveling this summer and fall. We have a lot of shows planned across the country, from Oregon to Maryland. We will have all our products and apparel with us and will be doing seminars at almost all the events. Stop in and tell us how awesome of a shot you are!

What is Molt Gear?
Molt Gear is more than a company name....it’s an attitude! Every year waterfowl go through a molting
process where they loose their flight feathers, only to grow back new ones. Molt Gear, Find Your Feathers, hunts by this process. We want to go outside the box, we want to set ourselves apart from the crowd by not hunting or calling like the next guy, we work hard to make a hunt happen, and always look to the goose for
answers. Each year waterfowl change, we want to also.... we want to Find our Feathers!
Molt Gear started in June 2006 with it’s initial product release the Bad Grammer CD. After much success and request from consumers, the Bad Grammar DVD was released in February 2008. The Bad Grammer instructional calling system is now the #1 selling instructional material for goose calling. Being sold nationwide at such retailers like Cabelas, Gander Mountain, Scheels, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Mack’s Prairie Wings, Final Flight Outfitters and sporting goods stores coast to coast. In February 2009 the 3rd media instructional Stage Grammer was released for inspiring contest callers. Molt Gear also added apparel such as hats, t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and decals this past year.
In January 2010 Molt Gear also took another step forward by adding Molt Productions Inc. Molt Production sevices include videoing, editing, and website design....... It also works by the same attitude Molt Gear does. Also new for 2010 is the first instructional hunting video, The Goose Society.... which will be the first DVD in a video series that will take an inside look into decoys, decoy spreads, concealment, calling and scouting. This fall Molt Gear will also be offering guided goose hunts for the first time that will focus on in the field education on various topics.

This is the 3rd straight year that Scott has brought home the World Live Title, winning it in 2007, 2008 and 2009! The World Goose Calling Contest takes place the second weekend of November every year in Easton, Maryland. The calling contest is the during the annual Waterfowl Festival. |
