Hunting season is in full swing for us right now. The season has started off slow due to seasonally warm weather in October and November, but a snow storm to the north and freezing temps has started the migration. Stay updated on here and also through our face book page (Scott Threinen’s Molt Gear) on how our season is going.
Three new things to Molt Gear are the E Newsletter, the Monday morning hunting/migration report on our face book page, and “The Society” staff. The E Newsletter, which you can sign up for on the home page is a email that contains information on hunting, calling and product specials. In our latest newsletter we talked about the full moon phase and how if effects migration waterfowl, also we also gave tips on calling geese over water and offered a free beanie with any video purchase. We have some pretty cool things planned for this, so sign up today!
The Monday morning hunting/migration report is something we started a couple weeks ago and is really taking off. It gives guys a chance to update everyone on how the hunting is and where the migration is at. Its easy, all you do is state the area your from (exp. SE MN) and give us a report. Check it out every Monday morning on our face book page.
The Society staff is something after much thought we are finally moving forward with. This staff will consist of a group of guys that loves to hunt waterfowl and share there knowledge as much as we do. Staff members will be ask to write articles, submit photos, be apart of instructional hunts, work shows, and film for upcoming Society DVD’s and do product testing. We are really looking forward to working with the group of guys we choose! If your interested, checkout The Society staff page and submit your application, there is no deadline and we will be constantly adding new members.
We have finally got our computer back after a couple months of meltdown, so we are up and editing away on the Goose Society 2 right now. This is the second step in the series and we will be taking an inside look into decoy spreads. The fundaments of them, setting up to match the weather conditions, theories and spread layouts. We think it will be our best video yet, cant wait for you to see it!
We are also working on a few other new products that we have been field testing. We are extremely excited about these new additions and will keep you updates on what they are and when you can get them. 2012 looks to be a big and exciting year for us.
