Did I really just type 2011…wow, how fast a trip around the sun can go! I hope everyone had a great holiday season and the New Year is off to a good start. 2010 was a great year for Molt Gear and that would not have been possible without all of you. I want to thank you all for your continued support in the products and say how great it is meeting you at shows, hunting, over the phone or through emails. I can't thank you enough!
The Minnesota hunting season came to an end earlier this month, and it was welcomed! For a month we were fighting the snow! We had more geese then I've ever seen in the Rochester area the last part of November, then the snow arrived and in about 6 days we lost 30,000 plus birds. We got about 10 inches the first week of Dec and then got hit with 20 plus inches the next week, followed by another 8 inches after that! With 40 plus inches of snow on the ground getting into and out of fields was a challenge…nothing is easy in 40 inches of snow!
We did make the best of it though, we used snowmobiles and otter sleds to get into fields, the amount of work was overwhelming at some points, but it was sure worth it in the end when we had a limit. Those hunts will be featured on the next Goose Society due out this spring.
For the last several weeks we have been editing away on the new videos and also working on website updates. We created a new logo, as you can see on the top of the page and we will have new apparel soon with the new logo. We have a lot of new products coming out this year, three new videos and also a couple things I can't let out of the bag yet that we are really excited about.
We are leaving tomorrow to head south to hunt ducks and geese. We are going to new areas we have never been before, so I'm pretty pumped. Love hunting new ground where you have to figure out what's going on. We will be traveling to the Mississippi Valley Calling classic in Burlington at the beginning of next month and also to the IWA show in Moline March 5th and 6th. Stop by, we will have all products.
